I AM

I AM!!!

I choose the path of truth. Truth of myself and for myself. I stand in the place of openness both in me and through me. Transparency and light is what I choose to reflect. No lies that bind for the purpose of blending in. Come rain or shine my light remains, a reflection of God’s unfailing love. Not watered down or completely consumed by the world.

So to you dear friend I implore:

Do not sacrifice your quintessence on the alter of social acceptance.

Do not let anybody’s perception about who and/or what you should be make you feel guilty or less worthy for who you are and where you are. There’s insurmountable power and strength in knowing who you are and what you stand for and remaining true to it no matter what. Endeavor to be yourself in your truest and best form. Remember, no one is perfect so anyone who expects you to be is not worthy of your time and effort. We are a work in progress and through it all, what matters most is that we remain true to ourselves throughout our journey. You certainly don’t need to starve your quintessential self in favour of your social self. That socially acceptable and politically correct you that drowns the real you until you are completely lost at sea. End your relationship with the you that blends in with the crowd and doesn’t dare to stand alone.

But, how? You might ask, sometimes we all need to blend in and go with the flow, what then do I do in those situations? Be true to yourself I tell you, even if you stand alone. Humbly bow out of situations that dim your light, that makes you fall short. You always end up pleasing others and displeasing yourself.

Find Your Balance

Be kind, be wise, be gentle, be alert, be humble, be aware, be fair, be tough. Let us find our balance and be circumspect at all times. I am what and who I choose to be.
God has given me the power and I choose to walk in it.
